Jakub Przyborowicz is Manager of the Brussels Representation Office of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., the Polish gas transmission system operator (TSO) and future hydrogen transmission network operator (HTNO).
Based in Brussels, he leads the company’s engagement with EU institutions and key stakeholders on European energy policy, infrastructure regulation and the evolving role of gas and hydrogen systems in the energy transition. His work focuses in particular on energy security, market integration, cross-border infrastructure and the regulatory framework shaping the future of the European energy system.
For nearly ten years he has also been actively involved in European technical and industry associations, serving in a number of leadership roles, including positions on executive committees and as chair and co-chair of several working groups and task forces. He currently serves as Co-Chair Policy and Regulatory WG within (GLE) Gas LNG Europe and Co-Chair of the SOS Task Force within Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), representing transmission system operators, LNG terminal operators and gas storage operators at EU level. With almost 20 years of professional experience in EU policymaking, he previously worked in the European Parliament and for an association representing the energy and energy-intensive industries in EU. He holds Master’s degrees in Law and Public Administration.
