Gábor Orbán has more than 15 years of management experience in the energy sector. He began his career in the energy industry as the Commercial Director of EMFESZ, later managing the company’s operations in Poland. In 2011, he was appointed Director responsible for natural gas trading at MVM Partner. From 2013, he held director and later deputy CEO positions at Magyar Földgázkereskedő Zrt., where he was responsible for the company’s commercial and trading activities as well as its international expansion. In parallel, as Deputy CEO of PanRusGas Zrt., a joint venture between MVM and Gazprom, he was responsible for the execution of the long-term gas supply contract. Since May 2023, he has served as CEO of MVM Partner Zrt., and as of November 2024, he has taken over position of CEO of MVM CEEnergy Zrt.

Previously, he held the position of SVP MOL Group Corporate Affairs supervising international and domestic governmental relations for Regulatory and Public Affairs, Strategy Development and Corporate Communications. Beforehand, Mr. Ferencz was the CEO and Country Chairman of MOL Romania, a key MOL Group subsidiary. Between 2003 – 2009 he held the position of Vice President for Corporate Communications of MOL Group and was in charge of the overall communications activities of the fast growing Group.
Since 2015 Mr. Ferencz is the Chair of the National Committee of the World Petroleum Council. He is also member of the Advisory Board of the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research Foundation. Mr. Ferencz is an Associate at the European Round Table for Industry since 2011. He is founding partner of the SEED School for Executive Education and Development based in Budapest.
Mr. Ferencz received his MA in Economics from the University of Regensburg and pursued postgraduate studies in political science.
Elio Ruggeri is the Managing Director of Snam Energy Terminals (Set), the Snam’s subsidiary that manages directly or indirectly all Italian LNG regasification terminals.
In Snam since 2018, he has led Snam growth in the LNG business, taking operated regas capacity from 3.5 bcma to over 25 bcma, by means of both organic and inorganic initiatives.
During his tenure in Snam, he has also managed Snam’s participation in various European energy companies, serving as a board member of DESFA SA, of Interconnector UK and of Terega SAS.
Before joining Snam, he worked at Edison SpA for approximately 20 years where he held positions of increasing responsibilities along the gas value chain, last of which as Executive Director for Gas Supply Portfolio and Infrastructures.
Since June 2023, Elio has also been the President of Assocostieri, the leading Italian Association for energy logistics with a pivotal role for firms working in the field of energy Terminals.
Jefferson Edwards is Vice President in Shell Energy, accountable for fundamental analysis of global gas, LNG, power and low carbon energy markets. Shell Energy is responsible for the marketing and trading of gas, LNG, power and environmental products within Shell Plc. He leads a team of professionals located in Houston, London, the Hague, Dubai, Beijing and Singapore, focused on the analysis of global energy markets and sits on the leadership team of Shell LNG Marketing and Trading and Shell’s internal global energy forecasting leadership team. He is the Shell representative to the Governing Board of the Gastech conference and the Programme Committee of LNG2025.
Previously, he was General Manager for Shell Energy with responsibility for Shell’s global policy and advocacy efforts related to natural gas market development. Prior to that role, Mr. Edwards has held various commercial and strategy roles within Shell’s Exploration & Production and Integrated Gas businesses, based in London, the Hague and Singapore.
Prior to joining Shell, Mr. Edwards was Director of Asian Energy Research for Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA). He holds a MS in International Business Diplomacy from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., focused on energy security.
Eszter Szekeres has been leading MET Central Europe Hungary since May 2024, which integrates the business units of MET Hungary Ltd. and E2 Hungary Ltd., and she also holds the position of CEO of MET Hungary Ltd. MET Central Europe Hungary is providing overall services to more than 5,500 business partners in the field of energy supply and energy efficiency.
Previously, Eszter Szekeres gained significant business and management experience as Executive Director of Wholesale and Portfolio Optimization at MET Central Europe, where she was responsible for managing the overall regional wholesale, pricing, position and portfolio management activities and coordinating the joint processes of MET Central Europe and MET International. Prior to this, she spent five years at MET Group’s headquarters in Switzerland, where she was involved in international business development projects and led the group’s risk management function.
Dr. Vitaliy Baylarbayov is the Deputy Vice-President of SOCAR. Dr. Baylarbayov has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and holds a PhD in Economics. He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and has held executive positions in the negotiations and management of a number of major oil and gas projects, including the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oilfields, the Shah Deniz gas/condensate field, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, and the Southern Gas Corridor Projects – the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline and the establishment of the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). Dr. Baylarbayov heads the Southern Gas Corridor Gas Value Chain Integration Team, is a Chairman of the board of SOCAR-UNIPER LLC, Chairman of BoD of the South Caucasus Pipeline Company Ltd., Chairman of BoD of SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC, the International Pipeline Company Sarmatia, a board member at the AGRI LNG project and the Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company – AGSC, a marketing vehicle of the Shah Deniz Consortium.

He held various managerial positions in Oil, Power and Coal Trading and is now responsible for the Global LNG, Biomass and Shipping activity and based in London.
Mithat AYDIN is the Deputy Managing Director in BOTAS. He previously served as Head of Gas Purchase and Export Department and Advisor of Managing Director in the same company. He completed his undergraduate education in 2006 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his master’s degree in 2009 at the same university. He started his business life during his university years and continued in the private sector in Germany for a while. He has been working for BOTAS for the last 12 years.

Afterwards, between 1992 and 1995, he held various positions at Eurocorp Financial Consulting Ltd. From 1995 to 1997, he was the Manager of MOL’s Privatisation Department and from 1997 until 1999, he was Director of Capital Markets. In 1999, Mr. Áldott served as Director of Strategy & Business Development. From November 2000, he acted as Chief Strategy Officer and then, since June 2001, as Group Chief Strategy Officer. He was the Executive Vice President of MOL Exploration & Production Division between September 2004 and June 2011. Zoltán Áldott acted as the President of INA Management Board between 1 April 2010 and 31 May 2018. Since 2001 til 2018 May he was a member of the MOL EB. As the Chairman of the Supervisory Board he is a permanent invitee to Board of Directors, Remuneration and Risk Management Committee and Sustainable Development Committee meetings.
