Gergely Szabó has been leading MET Hungary since December 2014 and was appointed Regional Chairman of MET Central Europe from 1 January 2019. In the newly formed organisation Gergely Szabó is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the regional business operation and local subsidiaries in Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia, where MET Central Europe has more than 7000 long term partners in the industrial natural gas and power segment.
Gergely Szabó started his career at the Gas Division of MOL Group in 2007. He was Executive Director of Origination and Structured Trading at MOL Energy Trade Ltd. between 2010 and 2011, then managed the Swiss subsidiary of MET Group as CEO at MET International between 2011 and 2014.
In addition to his role of CEO of MET Hungary Ltd., Gergely Szabó is Chairman of the Board of Directors of E2 Hungary Ltd., the joint venture energy trading company established by Magyar Telekom and MET Holding, as well as Member of the Board of MET Croatia and MET Slovakia.

Cristian Signoretto graduate in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 from the Politecnico di Milano, he did his military service as lieutenant officer in the Italian Army. In 2000, he was awarded a scholarship for a research doctorate at the Politecnico di Milano’s Department of Energy, where he was involved in research projects and teaching activities. In 2001 he joined McKinsey. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University in New York in 2005. After a brief stint at Citigroup in New York, he continued his career in McKinsey, mainly working on projects in the Oil & Gas and Banking & Insurance sectors.
He joined Eni in late 2007, in the Office of the CEO supporting the Top Management in defining corporate strategies and overseeing specific projects at group level. Between 2008 and 2016, he worked in Eni’s Gas & Power business, first as Senior Vice President International Sales and later as Executive Vice President International Markets and LNG. In November 2016, he took the position of Executive Vice President Portfolio Strategy & Long Term Gas Negotiations in the Midstream business with responsibility for managing the supply portfolio and long-term relationships with gas suppliers. In February 2018, he became Executive Vice President of the Gas Business Unit with responsibility for the entire midstream gas value chain, including marketing and trading activities. In April 2019, he was appointed Chief Gas & Lng Marketing and Power Officer of Eni. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eni Global Energy Markets S.p.A. (the wholly owned subsidiary of Eni responsible for all gas, LNG, power and CO2 trading and origination activities).
He’s a member of the Board of Directors for BlueStream. He is President of Proxigas, the National Association of Gas Industries, and a member of the General Council of Confindustria (the federation of Italian industries). He is President of Eurogas, the trade association for gaseous energies in Europe, as well as member of the Executive Committee of GIIGNL, the International Group of Liquefied Natural Gas Importers.
KEEP READINGMithat AYDIN is the Deputy Managing Director in BOTAS. He previously served as Head of Gas Purchase and Export Department and Advisor of Managing Director in the same company. He completed his undergraduate education in 2006 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his master’s degree in 2009 at the same university. He started his business life during his university years and continued in the private sector in Germany for a while. He has been working for BOTAS for the last 12 years.
KEEP READINGGábor Orbán has more than 15 years of management experience in the energy sector. He began his career in the energy industry as the Commercial Director of EMFESZ, later managing the company’s operations in Poland. In 2011, he was appointed Director responsible for natural gas trading at MVM Partner. From 2013, he held director and later deputy CEO positions at Magyar Földgázkereskedő Zrt., where he was responsible for the company’s commercial and trading activities as well as its international expansion. In parallel, as Deputy CEO of PanRusGas Zrt., a joint venture between MVM and Gazprom, he was responsible for the execution of the long-term gas supply contract. Since May 2023, he has served as CEO of MVM Partner Zrt., and as of November 2024, he has taken over position of CEO of MVM CEEnergy Zrt.
KEEP READINGJefferson Edwards is Vice President in Shell Energy, accountable for fundamental analysis of global gas, LNG, power and low carbon energy markets. Shell Energy is responsible for the marketing and trading of gas, LNG, power and environmental products within Shell Plc. He leads a team of professionals located in Houston, London, the Hague, Dubai, Beijing and Singapore, focused on the analysis of global energy markets and sits on the leadership team of Shell LNG Marketing and Trading and Shell’s internal global energy forecasting leadership team. He is the Shell representative to the Governing Board of the Gastech conference and the Programme Committee of LNG2025.
Previously, he was General Manager for Shell Energy with responsibility for Shell’s global policy and advocacy efforts related to natural gas market development. Prior to that role, Mr. Edwards has held various commercial and strategy roles within Shell’s Exploration & Production and Integrated Gas businesses, based in London, the Hague and Singapore.
Prior to joining Shell, Mr. Edwards was Director of Asian Energy Research for Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA). He holds a MS in International Business Diplomacy from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., focused on energy security.
Teodora Georgieva has more than 20 years of experience as a strategic manager, leading significant projects in various economic sectors. Currently, Ms. Georgieva is the Executive Director of the Bulgarian side of the project company ICGB and is also a member of its Board of Directors. ICGB is responsible for the overall management and development of the gas pipeline between Greece and Bulgaria and will soon be an independent transmission system operator.
From 2012 to 2014 Teodora Georgieva was Managing Director of Nabucco Bulgaria, and before that she worked at OMV Bulgaria for 13 years, 8 of which she was Managing Director of the company, holding cluster positions for Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia. Georgieva was the coordinator for Bulgaria of the European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT), in 2009 and 2010 she was awarded as Manager of the Year and is in the list of the top 10 Bulgarian managers.
She graduated from the University of National and World Economy and has a master’s degree in Finance. Married, with two children

Till April 2023 Marc was CEO of the Blauwe Cluster / Blue Cluster (www.blauwecluster.be) a maritime innovation hub mandated by the Flemish government with over 200 member companies + trade associations & knowledge institutes.
From January 2009 till November 2019 he was Managing Director of Exmar Shipmanagement N.V. and member of the executive committee of Exmar N.V. (www.exmar.be), a Belgian listed ship owning company. He lectures at the University of Antwerp (C-MAT www.c-mat.be) in shipping and shipping management since 2000. After an extensive career at sea he became fleet personnel manager at CMB nv in 1997. In 2000 he took up the position of Managing Director of the Royal Belgian Shipowners’ Association leading the revival of the Belgian register.
Capt. Marc Nuytemans also serves on the board of several companies and an international charity.

Later on, he earned an Executive Degree from the London Business School. Franck spent 25 years working for the Group Engie. Thus, he started his career at Gaz de France in the engineering department for 7 years and then moved to the Marketing and Sales with different functions in different countries such as France, Czech Republic, Hungary, Netherlands, Italy and UK before joining OMV Petrom. He was appointed member of the OMV Petrom Executive Board as of July 1, 2018 and President of FPPG as of January 30, 2019.
KEEP READINGSzabolcs Ferencz is the Chairman-CEO of FGSZ Natural Gas Transmission Ltd. since February 2019.
Previously, he held the position of SVP MOL Group Corporate Affairs supervising international and domestic governmental relations for Regulatory and Public Affairs, Strategy Development and Corporate Communications. Beforehand, Mr. Ferencz was the CEO and Country Chairman of MOL Romania, a key MOL Group subsidiary. Between 2003 – 2009 he held the position of Vice President for Corporate Communications of MOL Group and was in charge of the overall communications activities of the fast growing Group.
Since 2015 Mr. Ferencz is the Chair of the National Committee of the World Petroleum Council. He is also member of the Advisory Board of the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research Foundation. Mr. Ferencz is an Associate at the European Round Table for Industry since 2011. He is founding partner of the SEED School for Executive Education and Development based in Budapest.
Mr. Ferencz received his MA in Economics from the University of Regensburg and pursued postgraduate studies in political science.
John has served as VP LNG Origination for Cheniere since 2015 and is responsible for developing long term LNG sales opportunities in the EMEA region. Prior to joining Cheniere, John worked for Shell for almost 15 years in the company’s Gas & Power, LNG supply & trading and Crude Oil trading units in South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. John holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Rosario, Argentina, and an MBA from the Macroeconomic Studies Centre of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
